Module Overview
Zygisk Detach is a root-level utility that prevents the Google Play Store from forcing updates on specific Android applications. By hooking into libbinder, it effectively hides selected apps from the Play Store, ensuring user-defined auto-update preferences remain permanently respected.
I've found this module incredibly useful for keeping modded apps on older versions without Play Store interference. Since it intercepts update checks at the system level, you never have to worry about waking up to an unwanted update breaking your favorite app setup again.
Core Features
- Immediate effect application: Changes apply instantly the moment you select an app, bypassing the need to restart your phone.
- Multiple interface options: Manage your detached apps through a simple terminal CLI, a companion GUI app, or a built-in KernelSU WebUI.
- Automated flash setup: Drop a simple
detach.txtfile containing your chosen package names into the zip to detach apps automatically upon installation.
Support & Requirements
- Root Required: Magisk (with Zygisk enabled) or KernelSU (requires a Zygisk module to be installed).
- Android Version: Android 8.0+ (requires a functioning Zygisk environment).
How to Install
- Download the Zygisk Detach
.zipfile to your device's internal storage. - Open your root manager (Magisk or KernelSU), navigate to the Modules tab, and tap "Install from storage".
- Select the
.zipfile to flash it, then restart your device.
